MOUNTAIN BIKING: Corral Trail

← NV MICKEY DITCH 1 SWGW CANAL SW MICKEY DITCH 1 SWGW CANAL SW Single Tracks →

Description

This is a wonderful quick downhill type of trail. It is very fun for all levels. It actually starts with the Armstrong Connector trail at the top of the paved road. You can either park at the bottom of the road in the large parking lot and ride up the steep 4 miles to the top of Armstrong Connector or 2 miles up to the halfway point parking lot where the actual Corral trail section starts, or you can get shuttled up either part. Armstrong connector is very fun and fast, there are options to take such as log rides, and rocks to ride over. The trail opens up after the first 1/2 mile to a fast tight single track with some beautiful views of Lake Tahoe, (if you're going slow enough to see the view that is). This section of the trail switches back to the road. Then you continue the trail on the right side up to the actual Corral trailhead. If you are a little more novice we suggest you take the Sidewinder Trail. If you are able to do mandatory rock gardens take the Corral trail. Either trail you take ends up meeting and turning into one trail about a mile down. This section has fun logs rides, table top/ rock lipped jumps, small drops and all sorts of fun. Most of it is avoidable for the more novice. It ends at the Powerline trail (actual powerlines above) you go over the bridge and follow the dirt road back to the parking lot. If you have any questions contact us. Shoreline of Tahoe 775-580-7722. Enjoy!
